Kent Hotel Policies
Check-In Time: 4 P.M. – Check-Out Time: 12 Noon
Parking: The Kent Hotel does not have its own parking area but it does offer discounted Valet Parking Service through an outside company at a rate of $35.00 per day
Occupancy: There is a limit of 4 people (maximum) per room regardless of the category of room.
Reservations Deposit: The hotel requires the pre-payment of the first night’s room and tax (tax is 14% in Miami Beach) upon the booking of any reservation.
Cancellation Policy: We extend a 72 Hour Cancellation Policy. Guests may cancel a reservation 3 days or more prior to their arrival date and receive a full refund of their reservation deposit. Please note that special events require a 30 Day cancellation policy.
Early Check-In: The hotel can provide an early Check-In based upon availability. A fee of 50% or more of the daily rate may apply.
Late Check-Out: Late check-outs will only be granted up to 4 P.M. A fee of 50% or more of the daily rate may apply. If a guest checks out past 4 P.M. the full day rate must be paid. Late check-outs can only be confirmed on the morning of your departure and they are based solely on availability.
Smoking: The Kent Hotel does not have any smoking rooms – all of our rooms are considered non-smoking rooms. Please be aware that anyone who smokes in our rooms is doing so against our policies and may be subjected to a $250.00 smoking fee.
Age Limits: To book a reservation or to check-in to the hotel, a guest must be 18 years of age or older.
Payment Types Accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Traveler’s Checks and Cash. We do not accept personal checks or pre-paid credit cards as payment. Cash can be used to pay for the room and tax charges but we do not accept cash as payment for the incidentals deposit.
Deposits: Upon Check-in all guests are required to place a deposit on their room. This deposit covers all incidentals (telephone calls, room service, laundry service, room damages etc. etc.) An authorization will be placed on the credit card provided for the room and tax balance of the reservation, along with an additional amount to cover incidentals (typically it would be $100.00 per day but this amount can vary) Debit Card authorizations appear as a “pending charge” on the card. Once a guest has checked out authorizations typically take 5 to 7 business days to be removed. We do not control the amount of time it takes for a hold to be removed, this is determined by the issuing bank. Cash Deposits will not be accepted as payment for the incidentals deposit.
Groups: We offer group rates for reservations of (8) rooms or more. Please Contact our reservations department for more info.
Lost & Found:
The hotel provides in-room safes for every room. We encourage all guests to keep valuables in their safe. We will not be held liable for any missing items in the room. Any items left behind after a guest has checked-out may be considered “disposable” and may be thrown out. Should the hotel deem an item “valuable” and enter it into our “Lost and Found” items, it will be held for a maximum of 30 days. Any item that has been in Lost and Found for over 30 days will be disposed of. Guests are responsible for the shipping and handling charges associated with the retrieval of their items.
Rollaway Beds and Baby Cribs:
Rollaway beds are issued on a first come first basis and cannot be reserved nor guaranteed due to limited amounts. We can provide Baby Cribs free of charge to guests, these are also provided on a first come first serve basis. We cannot guarantee the exclusive use of any item prior to check-in.
Housekeeping service will be provided once a day between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. If a guest leaves a “Do Not Disturb” sign on their door the Housekeeping Department will skip the daily service.
Hotel guests can mail packages prior to or during their stay free of charge. We will hold the package until it is picked up by the guest. We encourage guests to put the same name on the package as the name on the reservation so it can be easily located. Guests are responsible for making sure that they retrieve their package prior to check-out. Should a package be left behind at the hotel, guests will be responsible for the shipping and handling charges associated with retrieval of their package. Any package left behind at the hotel for over 14 days will be disposed of. There is a size and quantity limit to packages being held for free, if the size or quantity of a package(s) are excessive we reserve the right to charge a storage and holding fee. We have a limit of 3 packages per reservation, anything above this limit amount must be reported to the hotel prior to check-in to avoid a storage and holding fee.
Any guest with a tax-exemption status will be required to provide all the proper documentation at least 14 days prior to arrival.
The Kent Hotel provides Wi-Fi internet access in all our rooms as well as in the hotel common/public areas. This service is free and does not have a cost incorporated with the room rate. For whatever reason should the hotel Wi-Fi network be unavailable, a credit will not be applied for this free service.
Extra Person Fee:
All room rates are based on double occupancy (2 people). Should a guest book a room for 2 people and arrive at the hotel with an extra person(s), an additional $20.00 will be added to the daily room rate for each extra person that will be occupying the room. (There is a limit of 4 people per room)
The Kent Hotel is a Pet Friendly property. There is a pet fee of $25.00 per night during your stay. We have a limit of 50lbs. on any pet brought to the property as well as a limit of 1 pet per room. Pets must be well behaved - should your pet bark/make noise incessantly causing complaints from other guests the hotel reserves the right to have clients find alternate accomodations for themselves and their pets.
Every reservation will be charged a $20.00 per night resort fee that is collected upon check-in and/or added to the final bill.
